  3. 03

    Let Flightdeck prepare

Flightdeck checks your system, downloads your licensed game and sets up Wine and DirectX. Then launch from Flightdeck.

COMPATIBILITY

Features and limitations.

Flightdeck uses Wine/Proton. Compatibility is experimental and may vary with your distribution, hardware and add-ons.

Local flight

The simulator runs locally through Wine/Proton. The launcher downloads the Store base package; MSFS downloads additional content and creates local caches. No cloud gaming.

Experimental

Saves and Xbox cloud

Cloud saves load before launch and sync after you exit. Local backups are retained. Flightdeck asks for a decision when changes conflict or the connection is unavailable. Experimental.

Local game, online services

Microsoft sign-in and online content need Internet access. You can pause and resume downloads during the current installation; up to four unfinished files may restart. An installation does not automatically resume after a Linux restart. Start game updates from the launcher. Cloud saves sync automatically before play and after exit. You can explicitly choose a local session when the connection is unavailable.
